She suffers from cerebral palsy, uses a wheel chair and speech synthesizer. She completed her education in London and came back to Mumbai to start ADAPT – a group that stands for the rights of both able and disabled people of the society. She is also an event coordinator at the Oxford Book store in Mumbai.

Mohammed UmarRegion: Jhansi
Due to polio, he is severely disabled. He is 35 years old and lives in Jhansi. While working for the pension related issues of the disabled, he has formed Bundelkhand Vikalang Vikas Simiti - an organisation which puts forward the issues of the disabled people in front of the government and fights for their rights. He has created awareness about the pension for the disabled and has been successful in increasing the amount of disability pension from Rs 125 to Rs 300 by the UP government. Has also succeeded in getting a separate reservation window for the disabled in Jhansi and many other stations in central railways.

Harman Singh SidhuRegion: Chandigarh
His spinal injury due to an accident made him a quadriplegic confined to a wheel chair. Mr. Siddhu lives in Chandigarh, creating awareness and promoting road safety among children and youth.
